Food Scores Database by The Environmental Working Group

Comprehensive database of food products containing information on more than 80,000 items sold in groceries stores around the nation.  It offers ingredients and nutritional information and gives information about how nutritous and processed the food items are; whether they are organically certified; raised according to animal welfare standards or without antibiotics; and exposure to environmental containimants and pesticides.     Data is gathered from food companies through voluntary and mandatory labeling, combined with the group's own research on pesticides and additives.  All products are assigned a score from 1-10, with 1 being the Best.
