Class Descriptions

  • iPad Class - Basics: Have you heard about the iPad but are not sure what it is? Do you have an iPad but are not sure how to use it? In this beginner class you will receive an introduction to the iPad. In addition, you will be introduced to accessibility features on the iPad, such as Zoom and Voice Over (Apple's built-in screen reader), to access the iPad. The iPad Basics classes will be held on the following dates 10/17, 10/24, and 10/31 in Group Study Room 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Class is restricted to individuals age 55+ who have a vision change.
  • iPad Class - Advanced: iPad experience is a prerequisite for this course. In this class, you will build on your basic iPad skills to learn more about the accessibility features and assistive applications available to you. Class is restricted to individuals age 55+ who have a vision change. The iPad Advanced classes will be held 11/14, 11/21, 11/28 and 12/5 in Group Study Room 1. Currently the iPad Advanced classes are scheduled for two time slots 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., depending on the enrollment.
