CDC's Healthy Aging Program serves as the focal point for efforts to promote the health and quality of life of older Americans. Located within CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, the Program focuses primarily on adults age 50 or older.
Some factors that affect your health are outside of your control, such as your family history of certain diseases. However, many important risk factors are within your power to change, through steps such as quitting smoking and exercising regularly.
